Tugethr ("Tugethr", "we", "us") operates the Tugethr mobile and web application for discovering nearby players, organising matches, and chatting. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Tugethr you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account & profile: phone number, display name, optional email, photos, gender, date of birth, bio, sports & skill level.
- Location: your city and approximate/precise GPS coordinates, used to show nearby players and matches. You can disable location in your device settings.
- Chat: messages are end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read their contents. We process minimal metadata (sender, timestamp) to deliver them. Media you send is encrypted before upload.
- Usage & device: app interactions, device model/OS, and a push-notification token.
- Payments: subscription/payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Razorpay) — we do not store your card numbers.
2. How we use your information
- Provide core features: discovery, matchmaking, chat, venues, and subscriptions.
- Show you relevant nearby players/matches based on your location.
- Send notifications (e.g. play requests, messages) — you can turn these off.
- Process payments and manage your subscription.
- Keep the service safe (abuse prevention, rate limiting) and comply with law.
3. Who we share with
We do not sell your personal data. We share only with service providers who help us run Tugethr:
- Razorpay — payment processing.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — push notifications.
- Mapbox — maps and city geocoding.
- Microsoft Azure, MongoDB Atlas, Upstash — secure cloud hosting/storage.
- Other players see only the profile information you choose to make public.
4. Your choices & rights
- Set your profile to Private to stop appearing in discovery.
- Edit or delete your profile information at any time in the app.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data (see Contact).
- Control location and notification permissions in your device settings.
5. Data retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request (some records may be retained where required by law). Delivered chat ciphertext is periodically purged from our servers. We use encryption in transit and at rest and restrict access to your data.
6. Children
Tugethr is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
